Cocktail Pools Florida builds precision 24" above-ground cinder-block plunge pools across Florida — stacked on a level pad, no excavation, and permit-free in most Florida jurisdictions under the 24" exemption. Turnkey install in two days — or ship the DIY kit nationwide.

Local rules vary, a permit exemption is not HOA approval, and electrical work is arranged separately with your own licensed electrician — see how we work, the 24" rule and the HOA packet.

Why it works

A premium pool built like architecture, not a swimming pool project.

Everything about this build is a deliberate trade. Staying at 24" above grade removes the excavation, the permit cycle and the months of yard destruction — and what's left is a structure made of core-filled block, industrial liner and real paver coping rather than a spray-form shell.

01

The above-ground advantage

We build to the letter of the code, not around it. Florida's residential code treats a pool that stays at or under 24" above grade as an above-ground recreational vessel, and most jurisdictions exempt it from the pool permit an in-ground shell requires. No hole, no permit cycle in most counties. We sell and assemble the pool as a product — we're not a licensed pool contractor or a permit service, and electrical work is arranged by you with a licensed electrician.

02

Two-day build

No excavation, no concrete cure. A four-person crew can level the pad, stack the block, line, cap and fill a pool in 48 hours flat. No two-month construction zone in your backyard.

03

Engineered to outlive concrete

Core-filled 16×8×8 block walls, 60-mil pond liner, and continuous paver coping — overbuilt for decades of UV, salt and weight cycling.

Honest pricing

Price is a function of footprint and perimeter, not a sales mood. Configure a custom shape and watch the BOM and total update live.

Structural confidence

Designed by a licensed Florida architect.

Permit-exempt is a code classification, not a shortcut on structure. We skipped the permit cycle by staying above grade and unplumbed — we did not skip the engineering.

One design standard, not a catalog

Wall assembly, reinforcement and core-fill schedule, coping detail, liner spec and equipment sizing were all authored by a Florida-licensed architect on our staff. Every configuration you can draw is drawn against that standard.

Engineered for Florida

Soil, wind and water load here are not the same as anywhere else. The structure is specified for this state rather than scaled off a generic above-ground pool.

A seal when you need one

For an HOA board, a waterfront lot or a cautious building department, the same architect will review your specific site plan and issue a sealed PDF as an optional add-on.

Living with it

What it's actually like to own one.

Standard pool chemistry

Chlorine or salt, same test strips and same routine as any residential pool — on a fraction of the water volume, so you're dosing a plunge pool, not a lap pool.

Plugs in, like an appliance

The pump and filter run from an existing exterior GFCI-protected outlet — no pool house, no panel work, nothing hardwired. If you need a new circuit, that's your licensed electrician's job, not ours.

No standing water

The pump circulates the full volume continuously through the filter, so it behaves like a pool, not a pond — nothing sits still long enough to breed mosquitoes.

Reversible by design

It sits on a compacted pad above grade. Nothing is dug into your yard, which is exactly why it goes in — and could come out — in days.
